Wanted For Animal Cruelty, Be on the Lookout

A suspected animal abuser may be on the run from the Bay area.
According to Hillsborough County deputies, an arrest warrant has been issued for 32-year-old Erik Nicholas Orona of Lutz. Orona is wanted for torturing and killing his pet, a young male Chihuahua named Tux.
Officials said Orona has a history of violence and is believed to be traveling with another dog, a pregnant dark-brown female Chihuahua.
Orona may be headed to the Orlando area, authorities said.
Officials are asking anyone with information to call the Central Florida Crime Line toll free at (800) 423-TIPS or Orange County Sheriff’s Office at (407) 836-4357.
Hillsborough County Animal Services may be contacted at (813) 744-5660. Tipsters may remain anonymous.

He has been arrested in Orange County. No word yet on the other dog that was in his custody.
